STORYTELLING WITH EO DASHBOARD - TUTORIAL

A new tutorial using the EO Dashboard (jointly developed by ESA, NASA, and JAXA), was presented at LPS25. Participants explored free, open resources via the EOxHub JupyterLab Workspace—made accessible through ESA’s NoR sponsorship. The tutorial, focused on Nighttime lights, with practical exercises to build complete workflows and publish scientific stories, code, and data, in line with FAIR and Open Science principles.

SCIENCE HUB CHALLENGE: JULY 2025 EDITION

ESA’s Science Hub hosted students from the University of Leicester and Sorbonne Université for a new edition of the Science Hub Challenges. This hands-on workshop offered  students the chance to work alongside ESA scientists using cutting-edge tools like the DeepESDL and EarthCARE MAAP platforms. Online interventions from JAXA and NASA further enriched the experience, as they explored topics in forestry and atmospheric science.

WORKSHOP

JupyterGIS: REVOLUTIONIZING GEOSPATIAL WORKFLOWS COLLABORATION

A new collaborative GIS tool, JupyterGIS, at LPS25, highlighting its potential to transform Earth observation workflows. Designed by Quantstack and Simula with ESA funding, JupyterGIS enables real-time, multi-user collaboration on complex geospatial projects—without software installation. The open-source platform integrates with existing GIS tools and supports community-driven development.
